Promotion of Warsaw is a difficult task, there’s no doubt about that. Both lack and excess of imagination can be very dangerous in this category. Therefore, the promotional video of Warsaw created on behalf of Warsaw City Council before EURO 2012 commits a double sin. The history of rivalry between man and woman was supposed to be just a background for the promotion of Warsaw – but the opposite thing happened.

In a statment for TVN24 Mirosław Obarski stresses that the video is “the image lapse of the year” – I believe that this was a completely wrong way to approach the problem, dangerous for the image of Warsaw – Obarski emphasized – Foreigner looks at his crotch and starts chasing a female citizen of Warsaw. I keep thinking what did the creators of this video want to communicate?”
